Introducing the adorable Ms Sadie

Shared on: Wednesday, April 25, 2012

Here at the Fine Art Studio we know that there are four legged family members out there, and we love to photograph them! We recently had Sadie to our studio and she was an absolute doll. All work stopped for the first 15 minutes she was in our studio as everyone had to say hello and get to know the little lady. Like everyone else that comes into our studio she had no problem taking direction during her session, although we’re sure the snack bag her mom brought with didn’t hurt! Sadie’s mom will be coming into our studio soon to view all the lovely images of her adorable Sadie, so we thought we’d give a bit of a sneak peak.

If you’d love to have your dog, cat, bird, rabbit, fish, ferret, or any other member photographed at our Seattle studio, please give us a call! We love getting to meet every member of your family and getting to photograph them is a treat for us!

Jake the cat

Shared on: Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Last week we got assigned a very project – go photograph Jake. Jake is one heck of a special cat, but has been going through a really rough time of it recently as he has kitty lymphoma.

His Mum – Sam asked us to come over and photograph Jake along with Elwood, Solomon and husband Eric. There are lots more photographs to look at but Amy and I wanted to post a few of the adorable and handsome Jake now for Mum to see.

The latest reports are that Jake is doing a little better so we are all thinking of good kitty thoughts.

Come Dog Lovers, come all

At the Fine Art Photography Studio we invite and encourage you to bring in your fluffy pups for a family photo shoot. Whether it’s a trusty Golden Retriever, a spunky Jack Russell, or a cuddly mutt, capture the love between you and your pooch.

For many of you, those furry bundles of love are, in a way, your children too, so feel free to bring them into the studio for a session featuring the entire family!   With Spring….. almost …..  here we wanted to give you a quick reminder to bring your special family member with you.

Baby French Bulldog photography

Shared on: Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Isn’t this little guy so cute!  Introducing Charlotte the baby French Bulldog who was just rescued from a bad home and adopted by Ariel.    Ariel and Doctor Amy think that she is about 4 or 5 months old but they aren’t totally sure.  She has clearly had a rough life already in her young age, she was always looking for attention and a little nervous at first.

After allowing her to get a little comfortable and relaxed we moved her into the photography studio to make some of her first professional photographs.  She was most comfortable when she was with her Mum, but we did manage to get some on her own.  She is such a cute looking French Bulldog and has the potential to be quite the character.  All in all she had a busy and exciting first day in her new life with visits to the vets, Mum’s office and the doggie lounge to buy food and was soon fast asleep snoring on her Mum’s lap.

pets welcome

One question that often gets asked by new clients is ‘can I bring my dog or cat?" and my typical answer is yes.  I’m a huge lover of animals be it on safari or the two cats, Jones and Jester, that have adopted me and I totally understand folks that want to have their pets photograph made to savor their memory for the future.  So if you have a pet that is special to you just ask and lets try and figure it out.

This evening I’m finishing up some prints for Lisa for some holiday gifts that she ordered.  This shot was taken on a very sunny October day with her lovely hound Jake.  After discovering that Jake didn’t react too well to the studio lights we decided to take it outside to the terrace.  I’ve worked with Jake three times over the last couple of years and each session is very eventful and fun.  One of the things with working with animals you are always going to get the unexpected and Jake manages to keep things interesting for sure!   He’s a total cutie for sure.
