Full shots from Baby Ava 7 month session

Shared on: Friday, March 23, 2012

We are about to celebrate a very special day at the studio.   A special young lady will be celebrating her 1st Birthday tomorrow!

Baby Ava and her parents, Michee & Terry, have been a wonderful presence at The Fine Art Photography Studio this past year.  Even before she was born we photographed her Mommy & Daddy along with Mommy’s Baby Bump last January.   We then visited Ava and the new family at the hospital when she was barely a day old.

Ava has grown so much this past year.  Her smile delighted us when she was just a few weeks old and her giggles & adventurous spirit entertained us when she showed off her crawling skills at her 6 month photo session.  We can’t wait for Ava, Terry, and Michee to join us for her next photo session in celebration of her 1st Birthday!!  Until then, here are a few favorites from her last session.

Enjoy these folks, Erin.

Welcome back ladies

We first met Abigail and Grace some three years ago when they first came into the studio with their extended family.   Now they are back in a big way with so much personality and energy.  It was such a delight to spend a couple hours with them and their adorable Mum – Elizabeth.   We have been in the process of preparing some beautiful prints for Mum, but until we can get those to her here are a few favorites.

Can’t wait to see the extended family later this year too.

An early Mothers Day gift of photography

Shared on: Saturday, May 9, 2009

Dad sneaked the twins away into our photography studio in Seattle while Mum was away on a quick trip a few weeks ago.  His goal was to create a unique Mothers Day gift and there are few things that are better for a Mum than photographs of her babies.   They are both leaving for a few days away tomorrow so Dad gave Mum her gift early so I’m allowed to post these now that the surprise is out!  So dam cute.

We designed a layout with the first three photographs into a long frame and after I printed it Nicole framed it, doesn’t it look wonderful!   I would imagine this is now taking up a nice spot of wall in their home, yeah!

beautiful previews of a lovely baby girl

Shared on: Friday, May 8, 2009

I’ve been getting back into things and today I have been finishing off printing some wonderfully cute photographs of this little girl that was taken in our photography studio in Seattle a while ago.  This was part of a larger family session but I had to publish these photographs of this little darling today in her boots and jeans.   So adorable.

Mum and Dad ended up choosing one of our beautiful canvas stretched canvas photographs with all three prints in one canvas sheet.  I pulled the pink from her jeans as the border color that looks so lovely for the final print.

The beautiful Sarah and her fun hats

Shared on: Saturday, April 18, 2009

This week the absolute highlight for me was spending time with a very brave and fun young lady called Sarah.  I know Sarah’s Dad, Timothy from many years ago and I recently connected with him via Facebook.  My heart went out to him and his family when I learnt that their beautiful three year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with Acute Meyloid Leukemia (AML).  At these times its often hard to know how to help someone, but one thing I could do was volunteer to photograph Sarah’s journey and I was excited that Sarah said she was ok with that.

These photographs in this post are from my first trip to Children’s Hospital in Seattle this week where she is a guest.  Sarah is starting a five month journey where she will receive Chemo once a month for the next five months.  She just had her first session recently and I got to hang out with her and her Dad and we had a lot of fun.  This week Sarah also had her feeding tube fitted and as with just about everything else she was a trooper and now has gotten used to it.

Each week Mum – Katherine, Timothy and Sarah selected a theme and this week its all about the hats and she was mostly wearing a very fetching straw number, along with her helmet when she was peddling around the ward much to the amusement of Dad.  I also got to meet some of the amazing staff at Children’s as they took time to play and look after her, the compassion and skill from these professionals is very comforting.   Here are a few of the many photographs from that day.

I’m excited to go back and capture some more of this very special young lady.  You can read more about Sarah and her story here.

blowing bubbles in our photography studio

Shared on: Saturday, March 21, 2009

Sometimes when our young clients aren’t quite in the mood for having their photographs taken we often have to deploy different tactics to distract them and help them relax.  This photography session that took place in our studio in Seattle we brought out the bubbles and enrolled Dad to help!

I thought I would post a few cute shots of him.

OK, back to work!    Happy Saturday everyone.

photographs of a beautiful little young man

I feel really fortunate to get the chance to spend so much time with my young clients.  I’ve photographed Noah since he was a couple of weeks old and have the pleasure of watching him grow and I get to see him every couple of months when mum brings him into our photography studio here in Seattle.    Tomorrow we get mark his one year birthday with a fun shoot in the studio.

These photographs were taken of him at the end of last year that I never posted in the holiday rush so I thought I would today quickly.

Little shoes

Shared on: Friday, March 6, 2009

I have been a slacker at getting photographs blogged these last couple of months.  We have lots going on with planning for the rest of the year, client photography sessions in our photography studio in Seattle and some fun projects coming up.  I’m going to see if I can get more posted over the next couple weeks.  Until then I couldn’t resist posting these fun shots of little shoes that were thrown on the studio floor as the owners ran around and had some fun!

Some lovely photographs for Dad for Valentines Day!

Jenny visited us recently and ordered some photographs for Husband of her and their wonderful son for a valentines day gift.  Knowing that Steve already has them on his desk at work I thought I would post these previews quickly.  Its so good to see the love between Noah and his lovely Mum.

Great Play Birthday Parties

Shared on: Saturday, January 31, 2009

Towards the end of last year we went over to the new exciting Great Play children’s gym in Redmond again.  This time we were photographing and filming a really fun birthday party for Marie the wonderful owner.  What with the crazy holiday rush and then a few exciting new projects in our photography studio here in Seattle we hadn’t had chance to put together all the video and photo’s, but finally this week we did.  Click on the large thumbnail below to play the video.

If you are looking for a great place to hold children’s birthday parties you really should check Great Play Birthday Parties.
